Organizing company helps repurpose and reorganize

Spending so much time at home throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has led many to want to do something different with their space, from rearranging the furniture to upgrading their homes with a total makeover.For some, doing something different was as simple as cleaning out and reorganizing. But many have realized it’s not so simple.Jill Moore was helping her friends and family rearrange their homes long before the pandemic. She spent more than 20 years organizing their pantries and closets, neatly folding their towels and styling their bookshelves to be more functional and aesthetically pleasing.Moore earned her Advanced International Organizing Professional certificate from QC Design School and is affiliated with the American Society of Professional Organizers. She officially launched Organized Jill, Professional Home Organization last November.”After spending the last year in this very unusual time in history and taking the time to rethink, repurpose and reorganize the spaces in my home, I knew it was time to share the skills that I have learned and honed for the last two decades with others,” Moore said.She’s worked with clients who have noticed their homes in a different light, clients who need help with decluttering and organizing and clients who are moving to and from the Piedmont Triad and want an easier move with more space.It’s all about making homes work for the people who live in them, especially amid the pandemic.”Many homes and rooms have been working double duty as people have been working from home and homeschooling their children. Making your home and your space work for your needs is a top priority,” Moore said.Even as case numbers improve and people spend less time in their homes, Moore says the demand for home organization services has grown.Moore and her organizing partner, Leah Mims of Tailored For You Interiors, recently hired two Junior Organizers to keep up with the growing demand.The Organized Jill team helps declutter and organize closets, pantries, bathrooms and craft rooms. They also help homebuyers unpack, find storage and create systems to help homeowners and renters start out in their new place. Every system is tailored to clients’ needs.”We always take the time to learn about our clients, to listen to their needs, priorities or concerns and personalize the experience,” Moore said.Her best advice? Make room for what matters most. “Of course, that answer is different for everyone,” she said.Organized Jill primarily services Winston-Salem, but also helps clients in the Greensboro and High Point areas. The current rate is $80 per hour for two professional home organizers.Unused items are donated. Moore says some clients are anxious about the process, but once it’s over and the items are packed in the Organized Jill team’s vehicle, she sees how relieved they are.”Investing in your home is an investment in yourself,” Moore said.
