Simply Perfect boutique, home design store is expanding in Sioux Falls

A downtown boutique and interior design studio is set to reveal its expanded showroom this week.

Simply Perfect, a home design, decor, lifestyle and apparel store at the 8th and Railroad shopping center, filled the former Reg and Relic space next door. The grand opening of the new space will be May 14 — the business’ 15th anniversary, said Penny Klinedinst, owner of Simply Perfect.

“It was the right move to make even if it was during a pandemic,” Klinedinst said. “The opportunity was going to come and go if I didn’t seize it.”

The new space will be more quiet and private for interior clients to focus on their design projects. Furniture pieces for sale will be staged throughout the space, and there will also be activities for customers who are browsing to dip their toes into what their design style might be or what possibilities there are for redesigning their space.

“This benefits the customer because this goes a little deeper for them and keeps things cleaner and easier for them to visualize,” Klinedinst said.

A new interior design studio is set up on Thursday, May 7, 2021, at Simply Perfect in Sioux Falls.

In addition to giving more space for the retail side of the business to spread out in its original space, the expansion also allows more room for design work in a “workplace that’s not cramped and busy and crowded,” Klinedinst said.

Now, the former workspace has been converted into offices, and Klinedinst has nearly 3,000 square feet to dedicate to interior design work for clients. Major projects Simply Perfect is working on will be displayed throughout the space, such as the Silencer Central renovation. She’s also able to showcase the vendors she works with for projects.
