This Colleyville home has five fireplaces, a barn and a baseball field

Situated on a 7.46-acre lot, this Colleyville home has large rooms, multiple fireplaces, a private room nestled on the third floor and stalls for six horses.. It adds up to a storybook feel for this 12,223-square-foot home.

Listing agent Carrie Smith of Allie Beth Allman & Associates says the home has a traditional English or French design. You can see the traditional appeal in the stone fireplaces, the wood beams on the ceilings in multiple rooms, the wood-paneled study and even in the design of the roofline.

“It’s definitely the type of home that you would expect to see maybe in the English countryside,” Smith said. “It’s very grand.”

The home at 1312 Tinker Road has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and three half-bathrooms. Most of the living spaces are on the first level, which Smith said makes the house well-suited to entertaining.

On the first floor, a wood-paneled study is next to the foyer. The home’s formal dining room has a fireplace, and there is a patterned design in the fireplace surround. The kitchen and breakfast rooms have an open-concept design with wood beams across the ceiling on one side and a fireplace in the corner by the breakfast table.

The great room or family room has taller ceilings, large windows that let in natural light and a fireplace with a stone surround that extends to the ceiling.

A game room and media room on the first level provide more room for entertaining, The game room has a wet bar, a seating area and enough space for a pool table. On one end of the game room, up a few steps, there’s a separate area used as a card room. One other room connected to the space is used as an artist’s studio but could also be an exercise room. The media room has tiered seating for optimal movie viewing. There is a one-bedroom suite on the first level with a private entrance.

Four bedrooms, including the primary suite, are on the second level. The primary bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with wood trusses and a fireplace on one end near the seating area. The primary bathroom has two vanities, two commodes and two closets. All of the remaining bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and access to a patio or balcony, according to the information Smith provided. The home also has laundry rooms on both floors and a craft room that could be used as an additional office space.

There’s only one room on the third level, a small study. A separate staircase leads to this room, giving it a private feel.

The property has a pool, outdoor seating areas, an outdoor fireplace, a barn with six stalls for horses, a baseball field and a pond with a fountain, according to the listing. There’s also a six-car garage.

The home is on the market for $6,500,000.
